The zoo is home to more than 4,000 animals from across the world including African Black Rhinos, Pandas, California Condors and many other endangered species. San Diego Zoo, along with the San Diego Zoo Safari Park and San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research, is operated by the nonprofit Zoological Society of San Diego. San Diego Zoo is located in Balboa Park, north of Downtown San Diego. San Diego Zoo Safari Park, home to 3,500 animals and 3,500 botanical species, is located in San Pasqual Valley near Escondido which is approximately 30 miles north of downtown San Diego. Want to breeze through the waiting line at Ticket Booth? You can easily purchase 1-Day Tickets or Multi-Day and Multi-Park Tickets now online. The zoo's 1-Day Pass includes unlimited admissions to Skyfari Aerial Tram, use of Guided Bus Tour and Express Bus as well. The price of 1-Day Pass is $40 for each adult (ages 12+) and $30 for each child (ages 3-11).
Multi-Day and Multi-Park Tickets bring the best value to visitors. There are three types of Multi-Day and Multi-Park Tickets: 2-Visit Pass, San Diego 3-for-1 Pass and Southern California City-Pass. With 2-Visit Pass, you can gain an additional visit to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park or two 1-Day Passes to the San Diego Zoo. San Diego 3-for-1 Pass includes admission to San Diego Zoo, San Diego Zoo Safari Park as well as SeaWorld San Diego. If you want to explore Southern California thoroughly, Southern California City-Pass is definitely your best option. It covers San Diego Zoo 1-Day Pass or San Diego Zoo Safari Park Africa Tram Safari Pass, Disneyland Resort Park Hopper, Universal Studios and SeaWorld San Diego. The prices for Multi-Day and Multi-Park Tickets are as follows:
2-Visit Pass: $76 (Adult ages 12+) $56 (Child ages 3-11)
San Diego 3-for-1 Pass: $129 (Adult ages 12+) $99 (Child ages 3-11)

Some zoo activities included in paid admission are Guided Bus Tour, Skyfari Aerial Tram, Lost Forest Live - Throughout Lost Forest, Elephant Odyssey Experience - Throughout Elephant Odyssey and Discovery Outpost Revealed - Throughout Discovery Outpost.
