Natural History Museum

San Diego natural history Museum is the oldest scientific institution in California. Its founders had a natural zeal to explore the nature and what is hidden in her core. With this mission the members founded a society and named it "Society of Natural History".

The beginning of their journey was not smooth at all. In the Balboa Park the Society of Natural History made its first Museum - the Natural history Museum. It's goal was to make people aware of nature and to learn the spirit of loving nature as their dear and near one. They were quite successful in their mission. People came forward to help them with various specimens that could be exhibited in the museum.

Then the Society of Natural History came across a tremendous set back. They had not enough fund to raise the museum to the status of a great one. But soon they overcame the problem. A renowned society offered a huge amount and in this way the sculptor shaped the main building into a sculpture with meticulous care.
