Just like the numerous events that keep happening in San Diego throughout the year for nice San Diego travel packages, the city and its dwellers enjoy themselves during festivals and festivities also throughout the year. San Diego festivals are by far the most enjoyable things that happen in the city, and the wide variety of festivals spread throughout the year makes one wonder if the people of San Diego simply need a reason to celebrate! Some of the famous annual festivals that take place in San Diego are:

1)The Adams Avenue Roots and Folk festival is an annual event that happens in Adams Avenue area in Normal Heights. The festival is a two day affair and is totally free. One could simply walk in and be a part of the celebration. Organized by the Adams Avenue Business Association, the festival focuses on the promotion and preservation of local musical acts and that go a long way in telling everyone about the rich culture of the region.

2)The Gator by the Bay Zydeco & Blues Festival is a fun filled family event that showcases food, vendors and musicians playing American music. The bands are Cajun and Zydeco and the music performed by them is obviously the music that is born in the Cajun Triangle. The festival also includes workshops on Cajun music and food. The Gator by the Bay Zydeco & Blues Festival is amongst the many San Diego festivals that have a very strong regional color and feel about the whole event.

3)The annual harvest festival of San Diego showcases the arts and crafts of the region. It's a fabulous event that spans over three fun filled days. Every year, hundreds of keen exhibitors display totally unique handicrafts and other artistic products. There are over 24,000 items on display including jewelry, home decor products, gift items and much more. Amazing food, foot tapping music and brilliant gift items, the event is a festival in the truest sense of the word.

4)San Diego is truly a city that transcends all borders and cultures when it comes to enjoying the festivals. It is perhaps one of the few cities in the United States of America that celebrates Asian Films by hosting a large scale film festival! The San Diego Asian Film Foundation looks at connecting audiences of varied cultures using Asian media arts. Vietnamese, American Chinese, Korean, and Indian, there are movies from all regions of Asia.
