Located on the banks of calm and serene waters, San Diego offers a variety of Cruise Lines that offer you a breathtaking experience and go a long way in making your trip to this beautiful city a memorable one.
The most well known and established cruise lines that arrive and depart from the terminal on B Street Pier, Diego's primary cruise ship terminal, are:
1)Carnival Cruise Lines: The tag line for the company says it all. The Carnival Cruise Lines are truly "Fun for all, all for fun". With their headquarters located in Miami, Florida, the Carnival Cruise Lines are experienced bunch of people who know what hospitality and customer satisfaction is, as far as cruise lines are concerned. The company offers year round services with a ship setting sail almost every other fortnight. The bouquet of trips that can be chosen include four to five day cruises to Cabo San Lucas aboard their huge Elation, a ship with a capacity of hosting over 2,000 guests and an eight day cruise to the scenic Panama Canal, Acapulco and a few other places. To get the real taste of San Diego cruise lines, make sure you are aboard the Carnival Cruise Lines.
2)Holland America: If you are in for some fun, the Mexican style, then the cruise that you are looking for is the Holland America. The cruise line sets sail for Mexico every week. On board the Oosterdam, you could visit the ports of Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas. Some other cruises offered by Holland America include a fourteen day trip to Panama Canal, and a fifteen day sail to Hawaii. If you really want to treat yourself, you could go in for the month long South Pacific cruise. Holland America will not disappoint you in any way.
3)Celebrity Cruises and Silversea: Among the lesser extensive services providing cruise lines; Celebrity Cruises and Silversea are the names that really grab our attention. While the former offers 10 to 11 day cruises to Mexico, the latter is known for smaller and specialized sails to the Panama Canal and Hawaii.
By 2010, another cruise line terminal, by the name of Broadway Pier is opening up in San Diego and this will surely facilitate more additions to the San Diego cruise lines.
