San Diego Beaches
Balmy weather, great water, warm sunshine and amazing restaurants! Sounds like paradise huh? Well, pretty close to it. We are talking about the San Diego beaches. Beaches in Diego are far from simple land masses dividing the sea and the city, they are the most happening places in around when for San Diego travel.
San Diego is blessed with the most picturesque beaches in the country, may be even the world. Whether you simply want to sit by the sea, sipping a cool drink and watching the sunset with your love or you want to have a intimate relationship with the sea and ride on its waves and go diving, San Diego beaches have all this and much more to offer for San Diego travel and tourism.
There are many beaches in Diego, and the popular ones include:
1)La Jolla Reefs: The area around La Jolla Reefs has a unique charm about them. The streets and storefronts seem more traditional and exquisite than anywhere else in the region. The Reef by itself is a small beach and good enough to accommodate a handful of vacationers, however there are many such and little bigger beaches in the vicinity and you can spend an entire day roaming about, enjoying yourself.
2)Pacific Beach: The Pacific Beach is one of the longer ones amongst the San Diego beaches and has a boardwalk of 3 miles. This beach is famous amongst the serious merry making and party loving college students, teenagers and young adults who enjoy their day at various decked up beach bars, or can be seen surfing. This beach is always full of people and it is not odd to spot bikini clad women getting the perfect sun tan, or the tattooed skateboarder kid showing some moves.
3)Imperial Beach: The host of the U.S. Open Sand Castle Building contest, the Imperial Beach is a heavily populated beach with a series of condos and apartments dotting the seaside. What this also means is that due to the large population presence, there are a lot of places you can go hang out with family and friends once you are done enjoy the picturesque beach and have had enough of surfing or swimming for the day! Just a piece of advice, there aren't permanent lifeguard towers or facilities here so be careful about that.
4)Silver Strand State Beach: Although this beach is not the best to sunbathe, swim, surf or party, this sure is the only one that offers a little of both in the Southern Bay region of Diego which is otherwise known for commercial maritime activities.
Wish your the best time in your trip!
