Let us introduce you to the more refined, cultured and intellectually stimulating side of San Diego. San Diego art is famous, not only all over the country but also across continents.

There are a lot of places of artistic and cultural interest when you travel in San Diego, namely:

a) The San Diego Museum of Art: With a rich history of over eighty years, the San Diego Museum of Art has been the city's main source of fine art for all this while. Located in the popular Balboa Park district of the city, the Museum hosts an array of exhibitions and performances spanning cultures from all over. Black Womanhood and Oceanic Art are the two major exhibitions that are coming up.

b) Cornado Art Gallery: Very few galleries that have a couple of primary artists do as well as the Cornando Art Gallery in San Diego. The gallery primarily focuses on the works of Sue Tushingham McNary and Glenn Michael McNary. While Sue's work are well received by private and corporate collectors alike, Glenn is a born artist and has studied art throughout his life and has works popular in many art galleries and has tried his hand at advertisement and design at many local advertisement firms in the city.

c) Scott White Contemporary Art: One of the best contemporary art galleries that is listed very high when you travel in San Diego CA art sector, the Scott White Contemporary Art has been dedicated towards promoting emerging and artists in their mid careers for over two decades. It features pictures, paintings, prints and sculptures from many countries.

d) Old Globe: One of the highlights of the theatrical form of performing art in San Diego, the Old Globe Theatre is the recipient of the prestigious Tony award and this itself speaks volumes about the quality of plays that are put on this three staged theatre all around the year.

e) La Jolla Playhouse: If there is one theatre that has earned its respect in the San Diego art circuit, it has to be the La Jolla Playhouse founded way back in 1947. The productions of the Theatre and Dance Department of UCSD.

f) Copley Symphony Hall: It is a cultural landmark and has splendid architecture. The performances of the San Diego Symphony that happen from January to July are held here.
