Mission Bay Park took about twenty years to come into being. Before, the name of the area was 'False Bay'. In 1944 a Committee took up the venture of transforming Mission Bay Park into a tourist spot. The park is absolutely man made and tells of the untiring effort of human being to give the marsh land a shape of a park that you see today.

Mission Bay Park is an asset of the old city of San Diego and is open to general people round the year. The chief attractions for San Diego travel of the Mission Bay Park are the Sea World, The mission Bay Aquatic Center and Belmont Park that boast of the Giant Dipper Roller Coaster. On the shore Of the Mission Bay Park you have enough games to have fun. There is the youth Camp ground at the Mission Bay Park Fiesta island where the youths experience jovial camping. You need a permit to enter but never dream of passing the night there. It is strictly prohibited. Again there is a warning for you at the Mission Bay Park-never try to catch fish from the bridges. It is also forbidden here.

Are you a bird lover? If yes then you have enough fun to watch the birds flying in joyous spree here and there. You can have the opportunity of watching the rare and most endangered species at the Mission Bay Park. Again if luck favors you may watch a few species of cats and dogs here which are declared rare and on the verge of extinction.
