History:
The name of a Spanish explorer Vasco Nunez de Balboa, who discovered the Pacific Ocean, has been kept for this park. The architecture and construction was completed during 1910 whereas it was originally on 1915 the park had the original Spanish style. Balboa Park shined with the Spanish architecture and buildings. The influence of Spanish Renaissance under both Gothic and Moorish style was perfect. Some of the styles of rococo and baroque were also reflected in the buildings.
